I have had such a blessed 2010. Jason is recovered and healthy, Dad's Cancer free at this time. I have healthy wonderful kids and I'm on the road to get healthier. We got to have ALL our family with us this year. Enjoying the time with Gina and Dad was such a blessing. Not to mention the daily blessing of a roof over our head, food on the table, having a job I love. My prayers for the new year include Dad's Cancer stays gone, Mom & Dot's neck problems resolve and that Gina kicks her cancer's ASS. I resolve to continue to work on improving my health. Gotta be able to keep up with these kiddos. I pray that everyone has a HAPPY & HEALTHY 2011!

Our Family friend is in town from Colorado and was nice enough to take pictures of our family. We started in the House as it was hot as all get out, outside. Then we went to Bartlett Park, the one by the Fire Station. The kiddos were awful and I'm amazed she got any, but Heather shear talent saved the day. It has broken my heart but after Jason and my stent in the hospital we are having to pull the Jax out of preschool and KJ out of Mommy's day out. I must admit that I cried when turning in the cancellation paperwork. They love going and I've loved the care and education that they have received. We are still undecided what to do once Jax has to go to Kindergarten. Options range from public school, private school, and home school. I went to a city school and I'm not too sure about going that route. Possibly will be able to send him to private school by that time, but don't want to become financially strained again. Scared of ability to teach at home. So my brain is a jumble. Gonna try to teach pre-K and toddler 2 preschool at home this year and see how it goes. If any has some helpful/nonjudgmental advice please feel free to share. Please pray for our family as we embark onto this adventure.

Pirate Adventure

Took the kiddos to target to pick up a couple of things and hit the dollar bin to get them a Happy Gift (making them happy and more agreeable for shopping). Jaxon and Kaylee both got a pirate sword and pirate hat then proceeded to sword fight in the cart. They were having a ball then they started yelling Arrrr at everyone that came by the cart. At some point the Cart became the Pirate Ship. We got mixed reactions some stick in the muds scowled and shook their heads. Others were more fun and either acted scared or said Arrr back. Many were smiling and laughing. Needless to say my kiddos were very entertaining for myself and other patrons at the Target. Now the Pirate fun continues with the Dora Pirate Adventure Movie at home and the couch is now the New Pirate Ship and the floor is shark infested.......Love it...They are so great! I'm love that they play together and they have such great imagination. What a great moment for us and I just had to share it. :)

The last year and half have not been fun in the Becklehimer/Hester family in regards to cancer. My Dad was diagnosed Jan 2009 with bladder CA (cancer) and it is one that grows back frequently so we will think it is gone then with will show back up. Yesterday he had a check and he has been feeling awful so we were very concerned. Luckily the scan was clear and they took some fluid out of his bladder to insure that there aren't any micro CA cells.

On another note my Sister-in-Law has fought and kicked her rectal CA's butt just to find out she has 3 spots on her lungs. Did I mention she's a non smoker so they are cells that came from the rectal CA. So yesterday she started the battle to kick her Lung CA's butt, with Chemo therapy. Please pray with us that Gina overcomes her lung CA and that Daddy's bladder CA stays away.

I know I've been MIA. I've been working a lot of extra hours in order to prepare for Christmas and such. Jaxon has started 3 year old preschool and loves it. He has met the Police Officers and Firefighters already. He loves Music time and get's to stay over on Thursdays and learn Spanish. Kaylee has been walking since 9 months and is now running and climbing. Her first year has gone by so fast and it is hard to believe that she will be 1 next Tuesday. I've added some pics of the outfit I made her and the bows I've made for her birthday and Halloween.

So, once again I'm behind in posting. I've been busy sewing and chasing after these kiddos. Kaylee is on the verge of crawling and Jaxon is obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I am loving watching Jaxon and Kaylee interact. They adore each other. Jaxon is very gentle and can't stand to see Kaylee upset. Kaylee using all her energy to get to Jaxon, rolling or scooting. Jaxon can get Kaylee to belly laugh just by jumping. I feel so blessed that they love each other so much. We will see how it goes when she starts getting into his toys. The Tradition in my family is to spend Christmas Eve with my family. We had a great time. My brother in law was discharged from the hospital yesterday so he was able to be there with us. Today's my last day of work until Christmas. I work 3p-11p on Christmas day which I feel really lucky to have it that way. We do Christmas at my family's on Christmas Eve evening and I will be home to do Santa witht he Babies on Christmas day. I will miss Christmas with the in-laws but we will catch up on the day after Christmas. Got bunches to do. Cooking, wraping and one or two more gifts to make. On top of all the regular business my brother-n-law Dewayne had a massive heart attack Thursday. He just got out of ICU and is doing better. He is truely lucky because there was minimal heart muscle damage. My Niece Chloe got to play with us Friday and she is going to be with us Monday and Tuesday of this week. Chloe and Jaxon play really good together and she loves helping with baby Kaylee and being Aunt Jenny's big helper. We are praying that Dewayne gets out of the hospital before Christmas. Well hoping everyone is well and has a safe and very Merry Christmas.

Jason took Jaxon out tonight to get a hair cut and to let Jaxon get Kaylee a Christmas present. While they were gone we had a photo shoot. Jaxon was tired when he got home so he wouldn't let me take pictures of him, I'll try to get some of his new do tomorrow. Oh and I forgot to mention how big Kaylee is now 10 pounds 9 ounces and 23 inches long.

We went for our 2 month shots today. Kaylee did great and Mommy was fine it was Jaxon that had a hard time. I told him that we were giving her medicine to help her grow strong. He was OK with her getting the roto vaccine because it was a liquid, but after the first shot he started crying and asked us to stop. The nurse was great and went quickly. Jaxon Kissed Kaylee afterward and made it all better. Her little thighs are sore and we've done the normal Tylenol, warm compress and massage but every once and a while she will just start shrieking and can't be consoled. Jaxon is such a tender heart and so protective, I love it. Here are some pictures of Kaylee from yesterday and today.

Back to Work

After a week of sickness I am heading back to work tomorrow.. Kaylee had double ear infections and a respiratory virus. Jason and I both had colds and Jason got a stomach virus. Jaxon avoided illness and Thank God because he just got off antibiotics on Thanksgiving for an ear infection. We've all had our turn. Looking forward to going back to work. A pay check is greatly needed, but I am going to miss Jason and the babies so much. I've enjoyed my time with them. I feel though that work enhances your appreciation of the time you have with your family. It gives me a change of scenery and makes me excited to come home. With flu/pneumonia season upon us I am praying that my first day back isn't too bad. Well off to bed so I can be alert. Hopefully my post pregnancy brain will not kick in too much tomorrow.

Long Time No Post

It's been a while since I've blogged. Still trying to find the balance of getting stuff done and making sure Kaylee and Jaxon get enough attention and time. I go to the doctor Monday to get cleared for work and should be back to it December 7th. Looking forward to being around adults and Praying for Jason's 1st day with the kiddos on his own. I know he will be fine. As for the kiddos....Jaxon is getting over an ear infection and has been a GREAT Big Brother. He is very gentle and he can't stand to see her cry. He trying to comfort her when she starts crying. Our Kaylee Bug has had a hard time getting her belly adjusted. The 1st formula left her with a lot of gas and in a lot of pain. We have changed to a formula with gas ease, with which she is doing better on. Here are the latest pictures of the kiddos that we took Wednesday.

I turned 30 today and I had a great day. I have a wonderful husband that gave me a great day. Started with breakfast in bed. Ate out for lunch then walked around the mall and some other stores that I haven't been able to leasurely look around at. We were able to get Kaylee's Christmas Dress today and then when we came home my family and in-laws surprising me with cake and ice cream. It was a great day and here are some pictures from today.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow it's only a day a way. I am so excited and nervous. My C-Section is scheduled for 10:30, we have to be there at 8:30. My dad is hanging with Jaxon and then our friend Heather is staying the night with Jax so Jas can stay with us for our first night. I got really lucky and we had a low census at work so I got off yesterday at 3 and I got all day off today. So I can do the knit picky stuff that you want to have done and I was moving too slow at work so I am glad that to not have the guilt of not moving fast enough on me today. Every shift for the last month I have felt bad for not giving as swift of care as I normally do, due to shift in gravity and inability to move any faster. I am hoping to sleep tonight. My mind was racing last night and I could not get comfortable so sleep was limited. The fun thought is that both my babies are/were born on a Monday. Please everyone pray that all goes well, I had toxemia after having Jax so I had to stay in the hospital longer. I'm healthier this pregnancy and I have been more active and I have not had to be on bed rest so I am hopeful that all will go well. Honestly as long as Kaylee is OK I can have toxemia again. Well after a couple of weeks of preterm labor I have made it to 37 weeks. I went to the Dr. yesterday and he scheduled my C-section for October 13th. I tried to get him to make it sooner but he was set on the 13th. Multiple family members have expressed their dislike of this date because the 13th will eventually fall on a friday. She isn't being born on friday the 13th. The day she is born on no matter what is lucky and a blessing. Started a count down to help pass the time and make it not feel so far away. I say it is 10 days away because I do not count today or the 13th. Jason said I was counting wrong then decided it might not be wise to argue with the pregnant,hormonal, uncomfortable woman. I'm nervous about working these last two weekends. Praying for strength.

Sunday when I got off work I started having contractions. by the time I got home and out of the shower they were 8 minutes apart. By the time we made it to Women's they were 3-4 minutes apart. I was 34 weeks and 5 days and not dialating so they stopped them with trabutaline. Which is a drug I will not take again it raised my heart rate and gave me the shakes that were like a seizure. I was wiped Monday but luckily Jax went to school so I slept. Monday night I kept waking because of contractions, by tuesday morning they were 10-15 minutes apart and when I left the hospital they told me to go the the dr.'s if they got that close. Called to make an appointment with the dr. but instead they left a message with the nurse, who took an hour to get back with me and then told me to get straight to the office which made it seem as though it was emergent. We got there and preceded to wait for 2 hours, not hooked up to a fetal monitor and no ultrasound to be done. Jaxon was bored and became a monster. When finally seen they checked my cervix and Kaylee's heart rate and then sent me home. I was told I couldn't have an ultrasound because it could not be justified to the insurance because even if Kaylee is breeched or big it doesn't matter because I'm having a c-section. I am just frustrated because Sunday night they told me how important it was to rest and get to the dr.'s if the contractions got to 15 minutes because I am preterm and then the Dr.'s office told me to walk through the contractions and to not worry about the contractions. I need to hold out until next Tuesday when I will be 36 weeks. they will let me go ahead and have her after this point. Jaxon came at 37 weeks so I wouldn't be surprised if I went next week especially after working this weekend. I'm hoping my water will break so that they can not postpone delivery. The stinky part is that my OBGYN is out of town.I'm feeling better today and my contractions are far apart so I'm hoping for a good day and I pray I can get some stuff done around the house. Jason has a Test Thursday so I'm hoping for no more drama so that he can focus on his test.

Well not to be out done by her brother Kaylee has decided to shake up some excitement in our lives. Jaxon arrived at 37 weeks, which is just making it to term, and he was 10 lbs and 4 oz, 21 inches long. I did not have gestational diabetes with Jaxon. I do have gestational diabetes with Kaylee, which maybe a factor in the events which occurred this week. Wednesday I started having lower back pain and severe pelvic pressure, it felt like right before my water broke with Jaxon. I know she had just dropped and figured it was pain and pressure from that. Unfortunately it did not ease or go away. After having my loving husband and daddy insist on me calling the doctor I did Friday morning when the office opened. Friday the pressure and pain was immense and I was at work hoping they would just say it was normal pain. I was ready to put on my big girl panties and work through it but when I talked to the nurse she was not happy. I was made a 1:00 Dr.'s appoint at the office site next to the hospital I will be delivering at just in case, which honestly started to freak me out a bit. I was 33 3/4 weeks along, too early for my taste. My coworkers were awesome. Multiple coworkers quickly offered to take my patients and got me out of work post haste. The covering physician I saw stated I was experiencing signs of preterm labor. Which to him was not surprising since I have gestational diabetes and because Jaxon just made it to 37 weeks when he came. My blood pressure, blood sugar and other labs were all good. Kaylee's head is right on my cervix and I am starting to efface but not dilate. I was cleared to return to normal activity and just try to rest as much as possible. I follow up with My doctor Wednesday and I am hoping they will do an ultrasound to see how big Kaylee is. I am still having pressure and back pain but it is not constant or as severe as it was on Friday. Every pray that if she does come early she is strong and her lungs are developed enough.

Baby Shower

My friend Becca threw me a baby shower. It was on a Tuesday night and we had a wonderful turn out of friends and family. I feel so blessed and I am still overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. It's been a bit since I blogged. I've entered the 3rd trimester fatigue. Trying to manage a new diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes. Also Jaxon has had a massive ear infection and we have had to put ear drops in daily. The first time I administered the ear drops Jaxon said "mommy hurt me". It broke my heart. Busy Busy Busy. I've also been in high speed nesting mode. This is short mainly because my brain is scattered. I'm adding pictures of Kaylee's room and new ones of silly Jax. Please pray for me as a little drama has occurred at work and with my hormones at an all time high it has become hard to ignore. Hope everyone is well.

It's been a very busy week and as we prepare for Kaylee's arrival I'm sure it will stay this way. I had my root canal Monday. I'm so happy to have that pain gone. Wednesday I got to hear Kaylee's heart beat and her growth is right on schedule. The bad news as we had feared is that I have gestational diabetes. I have to take the 3 hour glucose tolerance test next Thursday to find out if I need insulin. I have this week to work on a diabetic diet to help control my blood sugar. I SO want something sweet. I pray that I can control my blood sugar with diet or an oral medication. Just a short up date this week. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Oh MY TOOTH!!!

Last Thursday night the left side of my mouth started hurting. By Friday morning I was in a lot of pain but I didn't want to miss work so I went in. I couldn't eat the pain was so bad. My wonderful coworkers covered my patients while I ran to the dentist. He said the left side of my jaw was totally inflamed. and I have possibly 2 abcessed teeth. He started me on antibotics and gave me some pain meds. I meet with a specialist this Wednesday. Since I am pregnant my dentist wanted me to have a specialist evaluate me, that way if I do need a root canal, the specialist can do it faster, since I will not be able to take the normal meds for the procedure. Isn't it enough to be pregnant, chase a 2 year old and work now this!!! I know God does not give us more than we can handle, so I just pray that he wraps his hands around me at this time. I broke down crying at work at lunch time Sunday because I was so hungry and I couldn't chew what I brought for lunch. My coworker Jan, Momma Jan, was having lunch with her daughter so she called her and had her bring me something soft to eat. I am so blessed to have such caring coworkers. God's blessings come from everywhere and in ways and at times you don't expect.

Jaxon has been refusing to take an afternoon nap and his morning naps have been really short which means he has been a booger bear. I knew it would catch up with him so yesterday after dinner while we were cleaning up he got really quiet, Danger, Danger!!! We found him passed out on a mound of pillows in the middle of the living room floor. He was so hard to wake up and not happy when we did so.

Jason was awoken today by Jaxon trying to give him 2 Tylenol. When he asked Jaxon where he got them Jaxon took Jason to the kitchen where Jason found our large bottle of Tylenol open and spilled all over the floor. Jaxon then showed him that he tried to give 2 Tylenol to Daisy. Luckily Daisy didn't take them the problem came in that we could not figure out if Jaxon took any. Jaxon had taken the kitchen chair and pushed it up to the counter and got the closed, child proof bottle. Normally the bottle is in the cabinet but I needed some Tylenol for my hip pain at 3 in the morning and forgot to put it back in the cabinet. After talking to our Pediatrition I called a coworker who was nice enough to come in so I could leave. Our Dr. told us to get to La Bonheur within 3-4 hours in order to get blood work done to see if he ingested any of the Tylenol. If we got there any earlier we would have to just wait. They were great. We were taken right back and we were given great care. We were there for 3 hours which is great for an ER visit. Jaxon's tests were negative so luckily no Tylenol ingestion. Thank God. I have determined that Child proof means Adult proof-- Child accessible. Rough day but great outcome.

Busy Week

We have had a busy week mainly because the entire Hester house has been sick. Jaxon went for his wellness visit and had an ear infection which we all have had drainage and the sneezes but he had not been pulling on his ear so it was a bit of a suprise. Jaxon got on abx and then Jas and I started feeling worse and then we were put on abx also. Hopefully this will mean that we won't keep passing the bug back and forth.

Jason's Career Change

After a lot of thought and soul searching my husband, Jason, has decided to change career paths. He is currently a Computer Graphics Artist and is unable to advance any farther because he has advanced and accomplished what he can in his field. He is going to start school this fall to get his EMT cert and begin to work towards being a Fireman. His Dad, Brother and nephew are all firemen so he knows what to expect. He is really excited because this is giving him a goal to work toward and then he can work his way up in the fire department. We need everyone praying for us as we welcome our 2nd child in October and Jason goes to school. I'm so excited for both. Can't wait to meet our little girl Kaylee and I am so excited for Jason to start this new adventure.

Kids Movies

We have on constant rotation Cars, Ratatouille, Curious George and recently added Toy Story. Which is fine I don't care how many times he wants them played its like a comfort blanket for Jaxon. My frustration comes in when like this morning he wanted to watch 3 at one time. Cars, Toy Story and Curious George. I would put one in and then he would scream for the others. After 15 minutes of trying to decide and Jaxon trying to put all three in the DVD player mommy chose Monkey. Which he is now fine with and sitting with me in the recliner watching and laughing but for the first 10 minutes he screamed his lungs out for Cars and Buzz. I need industrial strength ear plugs for these moments. Just needed to vent/ share. ;)

I know I've been a slacker on posting this cough has lingered for weeks and last week was intolerable. Also our A/C went out again Monday. I saw the Dr. Wed of last week and got some medicine for the cough, it's kinda helping. Anywhoo, Thursday morning Jaxon and I spent time with Oma and Jaxon got to plant his own garden at Oma's and Papa's. We woke Heather up and she was nice enough to come out and take pictures for us. Fun at the Zoo

Tuesday we went to the zoo. Jaxon wore us out. He did not want to be in the stroller and he did not like the pace in which we walked. I think Mommy and Daddy were the ones who slept well after the trip. He had more fun saying hi to people than looking at the animals. He did enjoy the monkeys and big cats but his favorite was the farm. He got to pet the sheep and goats. It wasn't bad for a free night. Parking and getting in was the most congested but once inside it wasn't too bad. Hope every likes the pics. it was hard keeping up with the moving target.

Yesterday evening. we were feeding daisy and the next thing I know Jaxon has his head in the dog food bowl trying to eat the food like daisy. Unfortunately the camera was not close enough to get a picture. I'm just glad he didn't put head in the water bowl. I'm sure he will eventually.

Last night was Jaxon's first night in his big boy bed and he stayed in it all night. We just knew there was going to be play time at some point during the night but there wasn't and he did a great job.

Today was get out of the house day since it wasn't too hot outside. We went to the park and then to the mall to play in the kids play area.

We've been really busy lately. I've had a couple of rough spots with the pregnancy but they have smoothed out. Now we are starting to get Jaxon, daisy and the house ready for the new addition. We don't want to make too many changes too quick so that Jaxon has time to adjust. Today we changed his crib into the toddler bed. Nap time was rough. took and hour to get him down. The freedom was too exciting. Rather do this now than when the little one is here and we are all overwhelmed. As for our other child, Daisy, she is not adjusting. We have been emptying out the computer room to make into Jaxon's toddler room and the computer room was daisy's room. Now she has to sleep in the master bed room with me and Jas. She doesn't like this because it's in the back of the house and she can not look down the hallway into the living room anymore. We are trying to start the adjustments now and hopefully will have Jaxon's toddler room done before his birthday. We should find out if we are having a boy or girl in June also. So May and June are big months around here. May is birthday central in my family and add in mothers day & nurses day and we have something going on for the entire month.

On a different note everyone please continue to pray for the Harber Family. Baby Julianna's surgery has been postponed and with a big move in the near future they need all of our prayers and support.

Will We Get a Break

Why does it feel like when it rains it pours. We have to replace our AC Coil and this morning Jason comes and wakes me up because the garage door coil broke and we couldn't get it open. It is just so frustrating to have something consistently coming up. Luckily the repair guy was on a job in Germantown and came over as soon as he was done with that job. We felt like we were in a Steven King novel the house would not release us. At least we didn't see twin girls saying Red Rum, Red Rum. Always an adventure around here. Fun, Fun, Fun.
